Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Giant Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Methuselah Couture (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kong comes to the cage accompanied by GIANT KONG. Couture has chosen wait, nvmnd! thats just the tapping of his cane as he walks. as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 15 - 16 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Giant Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Methuselah Couture!
The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, George Francis and Robert Twigg.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kong is looking to clinch but Couture is avoiding it.
Kong paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
Kong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Couture swats him away and circles back towards the center.
Couture walks into a stiff left hand from Kong.
Kong lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Couture keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Couture throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Couture staying out of range there.
Kong swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Couture walks into a straight right hand from Kong.
Kong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Kong changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Couture tries to avoid it but Kong manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Couture to the ground. Couture escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Kong fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Couture manages to avoid it.
Couture checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Kong ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Couture moves away.
Kong tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Couture swivels and escapes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Couture shoots for a takedown but Kong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.

Couture will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
The fighters circling - Kong throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Kong misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Kong looks to score with a jab to the body but Couture is just out of range.
Kong takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Couture lands with a short punch from the clinch.

It looks like Giant Kong has been cut.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Kong.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

Couture fails with the takedown.
Kong thows a leg kick but Couture checks it
and Couture counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Couture throws a body punch but Kong moves out of range.

Kong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Couture but Couture pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Couture's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Kong connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Couture scrambles back to his feet.

Couture feints and as Kong raises his hands in defense, Couture changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Couture wants to stand but Kong is controlling his posture from full guard.
Kong wants to sweep here but Couture controlling him for the moment.

Kong is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Couture moves into full guard.
Couture tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Kong throwing strikes but missing.
Kong keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Couture's head.

Couture had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Kong defends it easily.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Kong is nestled in close to Couture, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure.

Couture has hold of Kong's hands but Kong slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

Kong is pressing down on Couture's thigh, looking to free his foot. Couture is holding on for now.
Kong is trying to control the action in half guard but Couture is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Couture wants to stand but Kong has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now.

We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Kong is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Couture's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Couture's back!

Kong is trying to stick to Couture's back but Couture is turning into Kong. He's managed to reverse the position - now he's in Kong's guard. Polite applause from the crowd in appreciation of some nice Jiu Jitsu by Couture.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Giant Kong.
Well Kong has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
