Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Muteki Chikko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jam Balaia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Jam Balaia will no doubt be looking to use his reach advantage to good effect.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Muteki Chikko!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jam Balaia!
The judges for this bout are , Timothy Bukovac and Don Winkell.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Chikko shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Balaia but Balaia pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Balaia misses with a wild combination.

Balaia clinches up with Chikko and pushes him back against the cage.
Chikko is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Balaia to keep the fight standing.
Balaia stops a takedown attempt from Chikko.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Muteki Chikko. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Chikko is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Chikko wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Balaia has him pressed against the cage.
Chikko's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Chikko has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Balaia is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Balaia really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Chikko. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Balaia closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Chikko did well to prevent Balaia getting side control.

Balaia shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Chikko's guard.

Balaia tries to free his leg and advance position but Chikko is retaining full guard.

Chikko is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Balaia defends well.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Chikko holds on and takes a little breather.

Chikko manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Balaia tries to reverse the position but Chikko maintains control.

Chikko could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Chikko's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.
