Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Raviel Mutoh!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Johnny Rocket!
The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, George Francis and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rocket drops Mutoh with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Mutoh looks back up at him and smiles so Rocket waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
It looks like Raviel Mutoh has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Rocket tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Mutoh paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rocket is looking to clinch.
Mutoh throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Rocket tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Mutoh is in Rocket's guard.
Rocket looking for a sweep. Not yet Rocket, not yet.
Mutoh is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Raviel Mutoh wasn't doing enough on the ground.
Mutoh closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Mutoh lands in his opponent's guard.
Rocket wants to get back to his feet but Mutoh is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
Mutoh engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Rocket looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Mutoh passes into side control.
Rocket tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Mutoh is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position.
Mutoh cracks Rocket with an elbow. That is naaassty.
Mutoh advances nicely into full mount.
Rocket wants to control but Mutoh is having none of it.
Mutoh controlling the pace for now.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mutoh prevents Rocket from getting the reversal.
A nice elbow there by Mutoh.
It looks like Johnny Rocket has been cut.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Mutoh sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Rocket tries to lock up and control but Mutoh gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Mutoh controlling the position easily from mount.
Mutoh putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound!
Rocket is rocked!
Rocket looks gassed!

Mutoh looking to control and managing it successfully.
Mutoh looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
Mutoh tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Rocket tries to buck Mutoh off but he can't manage it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Mutoh loads up on a couple of big shots to the head that have Rocket scrambling to escape. He can't get free though and several more unanswered shots from Mutoh land to the head. The referee has no choice but to stop the fight. Mutoh stands and salutes the crowd.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Raviel Mutoh!
