Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Runihura Ojore (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Christian Alexander (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Christian Alexander enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander stuns Ojore with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
Alexander lands a right hook to the body.

Ojore shoots in and bounces Alexander off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.

Ojore really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Alexander dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Ojore. That did some damage!

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Alexander is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Ojore's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Alexander really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ojore. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Ojore stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Alexander swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Alexander is looking to stand back up but Ojore counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Alexander.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Ojore lands with a punch from half guard.
Alexander tries to roll over but Ojore keeps him under control.
Ojore frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Ojore takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Ojore cracks Alexander with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.
Ojore fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Ojore tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Alexander wants to control but Ojore is having none of it.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Ojore bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Ojore takes a little break here. Alexander wants to take advantage but he is being controlled well.
Ojore lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Alexander down.
Ojore remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Ojore closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Alexander did well to prevent Ojore getting side control.
Ojore is taking a breather. Alexander says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Ojore seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Alexander for as long as he can get away with.
