Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Spar Bot Ii (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Very Important Person (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Very Important Person is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Very Important Person!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Damien Edna.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bot Ii tries to clinch up.

Person shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Bot Ii manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
Person sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Let's hope that Person has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.
It looks like Person might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Very Important Person was stalling too much, according to the referee.
Bot Ii lands a nice hook to Person's body. Person takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Bot Ii tries to clinch but Person moves away

and Person counters with a nice double leg into side control. Bot Ii won't be happy with that.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Bot Ii wants to get back to his feet.

Person decides to stand up, so the ref orders Bot Ii to his feet.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Person feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Very Important Person hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Nice uppercut there from Bot Ii.

Person blocks a head kick by Bot Ii.

Person scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Bot Ii tries to kick Person off but Person keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Very Important Person hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.

Person throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Bot Ii tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Person is in Bot Ii's guard.
Person controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Bot Ii is looking to stand up but Person isn't so interested in that idea.
Person sitting in guard here, content to control.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Very Important Person.
Bot Ii tries to clinch up

and Person decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Bot Ii's guard.
Person is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Bot Ii wants to get back to his feet but Person passes into half guard.
Person seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Very Important Person.

Person shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bot Ii's guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Person stays in close to Bot Ii's body and controls the position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Person stops Bot Ii from standing up.
Person is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Very Important Person dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Person shoots in and gets a takedown into Bot Ii's guard.

Bot Ii is looking to stand back up but Person counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Bot Ii.
Person looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.

Person is trying for a kimura here. Bot Ii looks like he's in a lot of pain... and he's tapping out! Person wins by kimura!
