Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ben Franklin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and George Fisher (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Franklin comes to the cage accompanied by Landslide by Fleetwood Mac. Fisher has chosen Cannibal Corpse - Priests of Sodom as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fisher uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Franklin.
Fisher takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Franklin misses with a hook. Fisher ducked under it nicely.
Franklin lands a jab to the nose.

It looks like George Fisher has been cut.
Fisher throws a looping overhand right but Franklin ducks down to avoid it.
Franklin scores to the head and body with a nice combination!
This has been an exciting period of action!

Franklin lands a left and a right that send Fisher crashing to the mat, dazed. Franklin thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!

Franklin will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Fisher seems to have recovered his senses.
Fisher throws a looping overhand right but Franklin ducks down to avoid it.
Fisher connects with a leg kick. Franklin looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Franklin ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Fisher moves away.
Franklin fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Fisher manages to avoid it.

Franklin tries to bum rush Fisher with a series of wild strikes but Fisher uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Franklin throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Fisher.
Fisher avoids the body shot from Franklin.
Franklin throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Franklin swings for the body but Fisher moves out of range.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Fisher takes a swing at Franklin's ribcage but misses.
Franklin circles away from the clinch attempt.
Fisher throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Fisher connects with a single shot there.

The cut above George Fisher's eye is starting to cause him problems now.
Franklin looks to score with a jab to the body but Fisher is just out of range.

Franklin tries to bum rush Fisher with a series of wild strikes but Fisher uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Fisher dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Franklin. That did some damage!
Franklin keeps the fight on the outside.
Fisher tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Franklin paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Fisher walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

George Fisher's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at George Fisher's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
