PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Brad Cheeseman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Julius Travinski (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Brad Cheeseman!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Julius Travinski!
The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shigeki Fujiwara and Shigeki Sano.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cheeseman throws a quick inside leg kick.
Travinski closes the distance and clinches up with Cheeseman, looking for a takedown. Travinski pushes Cheeseman against the ropes but Cheeseman circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.

Travinski walks into a stiff left hand from Cheeseman.
Travinski changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Cheeseman tries to avoid it but Travinski manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Cheeseman to the ground. Cheeseman escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Travinski fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Cheeseman scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.

Cheeseman closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

Travinski feints and as Cheeseman raises his hands in defense, Travinski changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Travinski won't let Cheeseman get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Cheeseman's corner are shouting for him to stand up but that's bad cornering - how is he meant to stand up when he's mounted? He should be looking to improve his position on the ground before trying to stand back up.

Travinski wants to finish this one by submission but Cheeseman is holding onto his waist, trying to prevent any attacks from Travinski.

Travinski really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cheeseman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
