The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Dux stuffs the takedown.
Lawson misses with a takedown attempt - Dux sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.

Lawson gets caught flat footed, as Dux shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Dux has gone for a leg lock! Lawson slips out almost immediately though and dives into Dux's guard.

Dux is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Dux working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Lawson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Lawson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Dux bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Lawson's guard.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Dux postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Lawson is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Dux, into his guard.
