Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Kazuya Takeshi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andy Wang (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kazuya Takeshi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Andy Wang!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wang ducks right into an uppercut from Takeshi.
Takeshi misses with a double jab.
Takeshi looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.

Takeshi shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
Takeshi lands a couple of elbows.
Wang wants to sweep here but Takeshi controlling him for the moment.
Takeshi throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Wang works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Takeshi sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Wang's guard.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fight is doing enough on the ground.
Wang throws a leg kick

and Takeshi counters with a single leg into guard. Wang didn't expect that.
Takeshi stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wang swivels though and keeps the full guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Takeshi keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Wang's head.
Wang is trying to keep Takeshi in close.

Takeshi has gone for a leg lock! Wang slips out almost immediately though and dives into Takeshi's guard.
Takeshi tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Wang with a flurry of punches that miss.
Wang trying to control the position from guard on top but Takeshi is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Wang tries to stand but Takeshi is controlling from the bottom.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.

Takeshi fails to land with a series of punches.
Wang wants to clinch

and Takeshi counters with a shoot takedown. Wang fights it but they end up in guard.

Takeshi has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wang looks gassed!

Takeshi wants to pass the guard but Wang is keeping the position.
Takeshi stands and throws Wang's legs to the side, diving into side control.

Wang is looking to reverse the position.

Takeshi is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Wang knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Takeshi is working Wang over with some ground and pound from side control.

Wang takes a big shot right to the temple there but he's taken it well.

Takeshi is landing with some decent strikes but Wang is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Wang is rocked!
Wang tries to lock up and control but Takeshi gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Takeshi shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Takeshi was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Takeshi won't let Wang get back to his feet... He wants to keep the fight where it is for now.

Wang gets back to half guard.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Takeshi connects with a nice short shot to Wang's temple.
Wang tries to roll over but Takeshi keeps him under control.

Wang moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Hammerfist, elbow! yells Takeshi's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Wang is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Takeshi is looking to work some ground and pound but Wang has wrist control.
Wang is trying to keep Takeshi in close.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Wang looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Wang is on the wrong end of a nice combination from Takeshi.
Takeshi fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wang manages to avoid it.
Takeshi uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.

Wang has clasped his hands together around Takeshi's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.

Takeshi has control of Wang's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Wang regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Wang seems to have recovered his senses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Wang rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Takeshi moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The referee warns Wang that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
Wang is in a horrible position here. Takeshi smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Takeshi pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.

Kazuya Takeshi showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Takeshi has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
