PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Damian Strong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunther Reza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Strong might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to R.I.P. There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Damian Strong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Gunther Reza!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Glass and William Gold.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Strong fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Reza.
Strong moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Strong lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Strong throws a series of punches but Reza avoids them all with ease.
A combination from Strong does no damage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Reza looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Reza pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Reza throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Strong.
Reza throws a sloppy head kick and Strong moves out of range easily.
Strong takes a swing at Reza's ribcage but misses.
Reza shoots in looking for a takedown. Strong tries to sprawl out of it but Reza keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Strong manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
No joy there for Strong, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Strong throws a head kick that misses.
Strong jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Strong misses with a jab, cross combination.
Strong lands a head shot.
Reza misses with a head kick.
Reza shoots for a takedown but Strong saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Reza avoids a punch combination nicely.
Reza takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Strong thuds a left hand into Reza's body.
Strong throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Reza's head.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Some wild striking there from Strong.

Strong drops Reza with a beautiful combination! Reza stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Strong is looking for the KO!

Reza is rocked!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Strong cracks Reza's jaw with two stiff jabs then ducks low and throws a soul-severing right uppercut to the mouth!! Reza slumps to the ground with blood on his lips. The referee steps in before Strong can do further damage! This one is done, son!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:09 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Damian Strong!
Damian Strong made sure to give a little speech post fight, saying 'I just wanna thank Aaron Jason for the For he has done for me and this company and all though this is me last fight in this company I just wanna wish him good luck in the future '.
