Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Serego Alighiero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Teppi Tarinashi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Alighiero's entrance music is Snoop DoGG. A fine choice. Tarinashi is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Bitches get stitches. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tarinashi moves out of range of the strikes.
Tarinashi throws a combination that misses

and Alighiero holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.
Alighiero tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Tarinashi's elbow.
Alighiero pushes Tarinashi back against the cage and lands a hook to the side of the head.

Tarinashi has Alighiero pressed up against the cage. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Tarinashi pulls back from the cage and twists to the side, sending Alighiero tumbling to the mat - Tarinashi dives into Alighiero's guard.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Tarinashi accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Tarinashi is looking to work some ground and pound but Alighiero has wrist control.

Alighiero breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Alighiero avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Tarinashi has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Alighiero.
Tarinashi ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.

Alighiero is fighting off a takedown attempt but Tarinashi is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Alighiero to the mat. Alighiero regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.

Alighiero is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Tarinashi is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Serego Alighiero wasn't doing enough on the ground.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Tarinashi looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
Alighiero is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.

We're going to have a standup here because Serego Alighiero wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
The crowd cheers as Alighiero lands an impressive looking overhand right. Tarinashi doesn't seem phased though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Tarinashi seems to be working for a kimura but Alighiero defends the submission attempt.

Alighiero is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Tarinashi's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Tarinashi's back!

Alighiero escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Tarinashi gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Alighiero kicks Tarinashi off and gets to his feet.
Tarinashi pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Alighiero back to the cage. Tarinashi follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Alighiero lands with a nice combination. Tarinashi backs away looking to recover.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tarinashi swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Tarinashi rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Alighiero moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Tarinashi connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Alighiero! He's out on his feet! Tarinashi rushes in and drops Alighiero with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
