Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Phillip Thompson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sunny Day (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thompson blocks a head kick by Day.
Thompson lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.

Day moves forwards but Thompson connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Day's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Thompson connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Day scrambles back to his feet.

Day tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Day has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Sunny Day showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action! This is the final round!

Day throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Thompson's waist but Thompson gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Day off to one side.
Day takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.

Day is a very stocky fighter. Infact he's such a weird shape that he's almost like some sort of comedy character - it's hard to believe he's real.
Thompson lands a really nice looking cross but Day seems unphased.
