Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between The Guard Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and The Hoe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hoe fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Guard Dog to the ground. Hoe is now in Guard Dog's guard.
Hoe engaging in some classic timewasting tactics.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Hoe got a little sloppy there for a moment and Guard Dog has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hoe has managed to get both his arms back between Guard Dog's legs - danger averted.
Hoe has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Guard Dog is proving hard to escape from.
Guard Dog controls Hoe momentarily but Hoe frees himself.
Hoe really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guard Dog. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Hoe avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Guard Dog is looking to stand up but Hoe isn't so interested in that idea.

Guard Dog is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hoe controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Hoe is in close to Guard Dog's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Hoe throwing strikes but missing.
Hoe controls from within his opponent's guard.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

Guard Dog decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Guard Dog is fighting to break Hoe's control of his arms but Hoe is doing a good job of controlling the position at the moment.

Hoe looking for a guillotine here but Guard Dog defends easily.
Guard Dog wants to get up but he can't break Hoe's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Guard Dog defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Hoe.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Hoe enables Guard Dog to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Hoe manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Nice takedown defense from Hoe. No joy for Guard Dog on that attempt.
Hoe throws a head kick but Guard Dog moves out of range.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Hoe postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Guard Dog to stand up.
Hoe shoots in looking for a takedown but Guard Dog manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hoe's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Hoe tries to clinch up.
Guard Dog will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Hoe is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Hoe should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.

Guard Dog wants to sweep here but Hoe controlling him for the moment.

Guard Dog working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Hoe doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Hoe manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Well Hoe has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
