PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Drago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Guy Clould (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Drago doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Clould counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Nice sprawl there from Clould as Drago shoots in.
Clould moves out of range as Drago throws a body kick.
Sloppy strikes from Drago. Those never looked like landing.
Clould throws a nice looking combination but Drago bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Drago uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Clould.

Clould fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Drago sprawls well initially but Clould persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
Clould wants to lay and pray for a moment but Drago keeps working.

Clould is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound.
Clould is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Clould is taking a breather. Drago says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.

Clould decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Clould tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Drago was well out of range. Poor timing from Clould.
Clould fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Drago manages to avoid it.
Clould lands a body shot.
Clould misses with a wild combination.
Clould throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Clould scoring well with a low kick there.
Clould throws a right and a left that both miss.
Clould is looking to land body kicks.

Clould closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Clould lands in his opponent's guard.

Drago is rocked!

Clould drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Clould jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Drago keeping moving, preventing Clould from controlling successfully.
Clould connects with a couple of short punches.

Clould wants to control from the top but Drago keeps moving.

Clould stands up from Drago's guard - Clould perhaps looking for a knockout.
Drago wants to clinch.
Clould tries a head kick but it misses.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Clould misses with a series of wild punches.
Drago goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Guy Clould dominated that round.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!

A jab from Clould finds it's way through Drago's defenses.
Clould misses with a low kick as Drago jumps back.
Drago keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Clould thuds a left hand into Drago's body.

Clould cracks Drago with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Drago looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Clould finish him?
Oh Drago is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Clould throws a quick head kick that knocks Drago silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Clould is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
