The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Anderson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Burnes is trying to defend but Anderson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Anderson seems to be working for a kimura but Burnes defends the submission attempt.

Burnes is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Anderson has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Anderson!
Anderson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Burnes swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Anderson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
