Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dixie Drummond (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Alberto Hugo Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hugo Jr is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Life in the Fast Lane. Alberto Hugo Jr will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hugo Jr closes the distance and clinches.
Hugo Jr misses with a short punch on the inside.

Hugo Jr is looking for a triangle here but Drummond uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.

Drummond decides to stand back up.

Drummond wants the takedown. Hugo Jr is fighting it off but Drummond persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Hugo Jr's guard against the cage.

Hugo Jr had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Drummond is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Hugo Jr Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Drummond's back instead.

Hugo Jr seems to be going for a rear naked choke. He has an arm under Drummond's chin but Drummond turns very nicely into Hugo Jr's guard. Good BJJ skills being displayed there by Drummond.

Hugo Jr has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Drummond can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Hugo Jr is looking to sinch up a triangle. Drummond throws the leg off to one side though and gets in tight to Hugo Jr's body to avoid the submission. Hugo Jr has instead reached around Drummond's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Hugo Jr arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
