Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between wu Kong (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roque Marcyanno (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, wu Kong!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Roque Marcyanno!
The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Thiago Cunha.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Marcyanno lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
Kong wants to clinch up but Marcyanno keeps it at a distance.
Marcyanno lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Marcyanno.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Marcyanno closes the distance and clinches.
Marcyanno working hard to break the clinch.

Kong breaks the clinch.

Kong gets tackled into the cage by Marcyanno. Marcyanno maintains the clinch.
Kong missing with knees to the body.
Marcyanno trying to stall but Kong improves his position.
Kong has Marcyanno pressed against the cage, preventing Marcyanno from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Kong misses with a knee strike.
Marcyanno is trying to break the clinch but Kong has him pressed against the cage.
Marcyanno just leaning against Kong, taking a breather.

Marcyanno pulls guard effortlessly.
Marcyanno has a closed guard, preventing Kong from standing up.
Marcyanno looking for a sweep. Not yet Marcyanno, not yet.
Kong postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Kong in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time.

Kong decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Roque Marcyanno is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.

Kong forces Marcyanno back against the cage and clinches.
Marcyanno blocks the elbow strike.
Kong missing with knees to the body.

Kong's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
A combination from Marcyanno does no damage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Kong looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

Marcyanno clinches up with Kong and pushes him back against the cage.
Kong throws an elbow that misses.
Both guys are working to get underhooks.
Marcyanno tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.
Kong pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Marcyanno is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Kong is keeping busy.
Kong lands an elbow inside.

Kong manages to break the clinch.
Kong tries to close the distance and clinch up but Marcyanno swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Kong rushes Marcyanno and presses him up against the cage.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Marcyanno can't break the clinch.
Kong keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Marcyanno's efforts to push away.

Kong escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Marcyanno scores with a one two! Kong had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Kong fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Marcyanno, pushing him back against the cage.
Marcyanno managing to block the knees to the body from Kong.
Good anti-grappling being displayed by Kong as Marcyanno tries to tie him up.
Marcyanno is trying to break free.
Kong throws an elbow but it misses.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Kong pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Marcyanno goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Marcyanno misses with a jab, cross combination.
Marcyanno misses with the combination.
Roque Marcyanno seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kong shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Marcyanno but Marcyanno pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Marcyanno is pawing at Kong, trying to feel the distance before throwing out a cross that crashes into Kong's nose. Kong is badly hurt! Marcyanno pounces, throwing wild strikes as both fighters end up on the ground! Kong tries desperately to hold on but Marcyanno is relentless in his assault! As Kong receives an ever increasing number of unanswered strikes the referee pulls Marcyanno away and this one is in the books!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:26 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Roque Marcyanno!
