Knee has chosen Darude - Sandstorm as his entrance music. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Knee darts in and clinches Gutierrez up against the cage.
Knee misses with a knee strike.
Knee with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Knee displaying some good clinch control by pressing Gutierrez up against the cage.
Gutierrez is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Knee is defending well.
Gutierrez throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Knee blocks it with crossed arms.
Knee missing with knees to the body.

Gutierrez gets control of Knee's arms and successfully pulls guard. Gutierrez will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
Gutierrez pulls Knee in close to his closed guard and prevents Knee from doing any damage or advancing position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gutierrez working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Knee doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Gutierrez is tightening it up a little... Knee has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Knee reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Knee taps out! Nice BJJ there by Gutierrez!
