Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Phoenix Valentine (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anton Seeberg (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Valentine kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Liquid Tension Experiment - Acid Rain. Seeberg comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Alice in chains - Check my brain kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Phoenix Valentine has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seeberg throws a sloppy head kick and Valentine moves out of range easily.
Valentine blocks a head kick by Seeberg.
Seeberg slaps away a takedown attempt from Valentine, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Valentine throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.

and Seeberg counters with a nice body kick.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Phoenix Valentine. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Seeberg closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Seeberg lands in his opponent's guard.

Anton Seeberg has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Valentine is defended easily by Seeberg.

Seeberg throws a head kick but Valentine moves out of range.

Valentine drives through with a takedown into guard.
Valentine looking to sit in guard and control but Seeberg gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Valentine manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Valentine prevents Seeberg from getting the reversal.
Seeberg wants to control but Valentine is having none of it.
Seeberg tries to reverse the position but Valentine maintains control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Valentine with a couple of short strikes.
Valentine has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Valentine throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.
Seeberg tries to lock up and control but Valentine gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
Valentine misses with a head shot.
Valentine has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Seeberg's face.
Seeberg really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Valentine. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Valentine looking to finish here with some ground and pound. He lands one big shot that has Seeberg covering up... and two more big strikes land, forcing the referee to step in and put and end to proceedings! This fight is all over!

After winning the bout, Phoenix Valentine thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
