Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Dai Hard (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joseph Stevenson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Stevenson has chosen Higher Ground - Red Hot Chili Peppers as his entrance music. Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

The judges for this bout are Trevor Gratis, Dillan Fox and Ian Loll.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Stevenson is looking to clinch but Hard is avoiding it.

Hard misses the jab.

Donk. Stevenson catches Hard right on the button with a cross.
Hard looks to score with a jab to the body but Stevenson is just out of range.
Hard doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Stevenson clobbers Hard with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Hard throws a looping overhand right but Stevenson ducks down to avoid it.

Stevenson darts in and clinches Hard up against the cage.
Stevenson lands a damaging elbow.
It looks like Dai Hard has been cut.
Stevenson looking to throw knees to the head but Hard is blocking nicely.
Stevenson avoids the elbow strike from Hard, against the cage.
Stevenson throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Hard blocks it with crossed arms.
Hard wants a takedown.
Hard tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Stevenson just stands there and leans against the cage.
Stevenson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Hard has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Hard jumps guard but Stevenson turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dai Hard. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Hard fails to pull guard.
Stevenson lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Hard is trying to pull guard but Stevenson turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Stevenson tries a knee to the head but he's missed.

Stevenson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

Hard jumps into guard, dragging Stevenson to the mat.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Stevenson gets to his feet - Hard follows without any prompting.
Hard tries for a takedown but Stevenson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Hard rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Stevenson counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Hard clobbers Stevenson with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Stevenson turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Stevenson throws a body punch but Hard moves out of range.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Hard.

Hard dives in and grabs Stevenson's left leg, looking for a takedown. Stevenson pushes down on Hard's head and hops out.
Hard fails to land the takedown.
Stevenson throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Hard stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Stevenson misses with a looping right.
Stevenson fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Stevenson throws a series of punches but Hard moves out of range.
Hard misses with a right hand
and Stevenson counters with a flying knee. Nice.

Hard misses with a lunging right hand
and Stevenson counters with a head kick.
Hard is rocked!
Stevenson misses with a straight right.
Oh Hard is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Stevenson misses with an uppercut. Hard saw that one coming.
Stevenson goes for a small jab and connects. Now Stevenson goes in closer pressing the issue. Left hook, right straight! Hard stumbles back but Stevenson runs in with a huge uppercut knocking Hard to the ground! What a finish! You have to wonder if Hard will ever be the same after a knockout like that.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Joseph Stevenson!
