Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boom Shalakalak (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Andrew Patterson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Shalakalak comes to the cage accompanied by Shamrocks and Shenanigans (House of pain). Patterson is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Invincible by Machine Gun Kelly. Well, the cameraman is lingering on a pretty young lady for a bit too long there. Keep your eyes on the fighters buddy or you'll miss the fighter intros!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Andrew Patterson!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Anthony Taglia and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Patterson moves into the clinch.
Shalakalak taking a breather.
Patterson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Shalakalak has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Patterson uses from the top position.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Patterson's corner is telling him to maintain position.
Patterson passes Shalakalak's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Patterson is looking to advance position but Shalakalak won't allow it.
Patterson is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
Patterson stops Shalakalak from getting back to his feet.
Shalakalak wants to get back to full guard but Patterson has mounted him!
Patterson controlling the pace for now.

Patterson trying to control but Shalakalak is having none of it.
Patterson tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
Shalakalak tries to reverse the position but Patterson maintains control.
Shalakalak is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Patterson takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Shalakalak wants to control his opponent's hands but Patterson gets his hands free.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Patterson is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Shalakalak has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Patterson has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Shalakalak taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Patterson doesn't care though - he's delighted!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (RNC). Andrew Patterson!
A determined Andrew Patterson didn't want to dwell on this fight in his post fight interview. Instead he was more keen to state he wants a title shot. Let's see if he gets it!
