The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reed lands a right hook to the body.
Silva looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Reed tries to clinch but Silva is having none of it.

Reed moves into range and clinches up with Silva.

Reed wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Silva drops down looking for an ankle pick but Reed pulls his leg out and moves away.
Reed tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Reed pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Silva back to the cage. Reed follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.

It looks like BulletTooth Silva has been cut.
Reed scores with a kick to the body.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Reed tries to clinch up but Silva circles away and keeps his distance.
Good leg kick by Reed there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Reed darts in and clinches Silva up against the cage.

Reed breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Reed swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Reed throws a head kick but Silva moves out of range.
Reed tries to clinch up.
Luke Reed seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Reed drops Silva with a nice combination! Reed dives into Silva's guard, looking to finish!

Silva is rocked!
Reed working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Oh Silva is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Reed controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Silva seems to have got his legs back now.
Reed wants to control from the top but Silva keeps moving.
Silva can't keep his opponent in guard - Reed advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.
Reed not doing much here.

Silva is looking to control Reed's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Silva avoid being mounted?
Reed seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Silva does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Reed moves into full mount! Silva won't be happy about that!
Reed punching from mount but Silva doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Reed wants to control the pace but Silva is squirming around nicely.
Silva tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Reed thowing strikes but they're hitting the gloves, not doing any damage.
Reed connects with a couple of good shots from mount.

Reed looking for an armbar but decides to keep the dominant position instead.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Silva is in all sorts of trouble here.
Silva wants to control but Reed is having none of it.

Reed is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Silva is surviving well by controlling Reed's body position as best he can.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Reed sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it!
Silva is trying to escape the mount.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Reed looking to control and managing it successfully.
Reed breaks from Silva's wrist control and lands an elbow.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Reed bobs and weaves and then throws a good body kick.
Reed throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Reed walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Silva drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Reed swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Silva's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!
