Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Tyler Brooks (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anthony Williamson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brooks comes to the cage accompanied by Tom Sawyer. Anthony Williamson will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Williamson bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.
Brooks throws a predictable looking body shot
and Williamson counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Williamson misses with a few strikes there.
Williamson fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Williamson keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

Brooks dives in and scores a takedown into Williamson's guard.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Williamson can do anything to dispel that myth.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Brooks makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.

Brooks is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Brooks drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Brooks jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Williamson wants to stand up but Brooks is controlling him.

Brooks stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Williamson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Brooks has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Brooks throws an elbow that misses. Williamson uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Brooks's guard. Nice move by Williamson!

Williamson wants to stand up, so he's looking to wriggle free of Brooks's closed guard. He's half up but Brooks has locked on to an arm! Uh oh! Brooks pivots and extends the arm, Williamson falls face first to the mat and taps??... does he?? YES! He's tapping! Excellent counter grappling there by Brooks! Well done that man!
