PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Todd Bauer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jedi Knight (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The crowd seem to be enjoying Knight's choice of entrance music: Why Can't We be Friends. I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Todd Bauer!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jedi Knight!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Dmitry Maklakov and Konstantin Menshow.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Bauer, as that shot connected.
Knight swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Bauer keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Bauer pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Knight feints and then dives in with a takedown. That was a long way out but the feint bought him enough time to close the distance and complete the takedown. Now we'll play guard for a bit and see who can get the better of that position.
Bauer is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Knight is controlling him.
Knight trying to control the position from guard on top but Bauer is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Knight is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.
Knight wants to pass the guard but Bauer is keeping the position.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Jedi Knight wasn't active enough on the ground.
Bauer throws a head kick that Knight semi-blocks.

It looks like Jedi Knight has been cut.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bauer throws a right and a left that both miss.
Bauer connects with a single shot there.
Knight takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Bauer flashes Knight a smile before throwing a beast of a right hand, straight down the pipe. Knight's eyes follow the hand right onto his nose, taking in it's full glory... and then darkness. Knight crumples to the floor! He's out cold! Bauer punches the air and yells at the top of his lungs - yeeeeeeeeeeah!!!! This one is all over!
