The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Markov clinches.
Markov is looking for a takedown.

Markov breaks from the clinch.
Chen cracks a nice hook into Markov's ribs.

Markov moves into range and clinches up with Chen.
Markov throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Chens head.

Markov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Chen counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Ivan Markov has been cut.

Markov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
Chen tries to break the clinch but Markov is controlling the position.
Chen is defending well against a takedown attempt.
Sam Chen has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ivan Markov.

Chen stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Chen wants it to stay on the feet.

Markov shoots for a double leg takedown but Chen sprawls well. He's pushed Markov's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
Ivan Markov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Markov avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Markov is trying hard to land a takedown here. Chen sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
