Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Denny Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Doug Copley (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chase comes to the cage accompanied by Forever. Chase has a slight injury, which hopefully won't affect the fight too much. Man, I cannot wait for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Denny Chase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 12 - 0, fighting out of New York, Doug Copley!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Bruno Lombardi and Jorge Garcia.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Copley lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected.
Copley misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Copley tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Chase paws at him with a jab and circles away.
The fighters circle momentarily. Chase darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Copley dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Chase. That did some damage!
Copley closes the distance and clinches up with Chase, looking for a takedown. Copley pushes Chase against the cage but Chase circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Chase lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Chase throws a predictable looking body shot

and Copley counters with a crisp one two that drops Chase! Copley thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Chase to his feet! Chase is in big trouble!


Chase is rocked!
Chase is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Copley misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Oh Chase is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Chase swings for the body but Copley moves out of range.
Sloppy strikes from Copley. Those never looked like landing.

Copley gets a big slam - oh, Chase is out! Chase is out! That's a nasty KO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:37 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Slam). Doug Copley!
