PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mirko Kemp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mattize Grovinsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kemp is coming into this fight with a significant injury, which will no doubt have an effect on his cardio. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Hugh Johnson and Bruno Hogan.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kemp moves in looking to clinch but Grovinsky pushes him off.
Kemp is breathing heavily.
Grovinsky lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Grovinsky closes the distance and clinches up with Kemp, looking for a takedown. Grovinsky pushes Kemp against the cage but Kemp circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
A head kick from Grovinsky lands but Kemp takes it in his stride.
Grovinsky lands with a nice combination. Kemp backs away looking to recover.
Kemp shoots for a takedown but Grovinsky saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Kemp shoots and misses

and Grovinsky counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Grovinsky wants to stand but his hand is trapped. Kemp uses the opportunity to regain full guard.
Kemp has a closed guard, preventing Grovinsky from standing up.

Grovinsky stands up and waves to Kemp to follow him.

Grovinsky shoots in for a takedown but Kemp shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Grovinsky's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Grovinsky duly obliges.
Mirko Kemp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Grovinsky lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Grovinsky shoots in for a takedown but Kemp shows good takedown defense.
Mirko Kemp has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Mattize Grovinsky.
Kemp gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Nice straight punches there by Grovinsky. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Grovinsky.

Grovinsky lands a leg kick that knocks Kemp off balance momentarily.
Kemp tries to clinch up but Grovinsky circles away and keeps his distance.
Grovinsky displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Kemp is rocked!
Grovinsky connects with a leg kick. Kemp looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Oh Kemp is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Grovinsky feints a jab promting Kemp to slip. Grovinsky then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Kemp slips again and ducks right into an uppercut.
Grovinsky gets in close and tags Kemp with a short punch that almost sends Kemp to the mat! Oh Kemp is in big trouble! He turns his back on Grovinsky, trying to create some distance but Grovinsky rushes him, striking wildly and Kemp goes down! The referee tackles Grovinsky into the cage to end the fight! Grovinsky is one violent man!
