Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rolando Guarana (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Crimson Tide (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rolando Guarana is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tide keeps the fight on the outside.
Guarana tries to clinch

Tide manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Guarana might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
Guarana is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.

Guarana is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Guarana gets to his feet. Tide looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!

Tide drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Tide is keen to just control but Guarana is a slippery customer.

Tide shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Tide was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Tide really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Guarana. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Tide takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.

Tide is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Guarana can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Guarana bucks up and manages to get a nice reversal! He's in guard on the top - nicely done!
Tide wants to stand up but Guarana is controlling him.

Guarana is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Tide is just riding it out for now. Guarana eventually gives up the hold.
Tide is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Guarana seems to be looking for submissions.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

A close round but Crimson Tide will probably get the nod.

Tide shoots in and bounces Guarana off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Guarana manages to land a sweep and now he's in mount on top!

Guarana is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Tide has managed to escape the submission attempt.

Tide is trying to reverse the position but instead Guarana has taken his back - oops!

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

You can see the frustration on Tide's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Tide controlling the position well but he knows he's in a bad position.

Guarana could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Guarana working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tide doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Guarana is tightening it up a little... Tide has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Tide reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Tide taps out! Nice BJJ there by Guarana!
