The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kiptanui decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Hellscream will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Kiptanui has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Hellscream is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Kiptanui.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Kiptanui crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Hellscream - the referee stops the clock and Kiptanui gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Hellscream. Kiptanui manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Hellscream shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Kiptanui eats them both and turns towards Hellscream to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
