Cunningham has chosen Scotland the Brave and the Green Hills of Tyrol as his entrance music. Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bob Finch!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Bearach Cunningham!
The judges for this bout are David Schapiro, Franklyn Lucas and Jonathan Paton.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Finch throws a low kick but it's checked well by Cunningham.
Finch misses with a body shot.
Finch doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
A head kick misses from Finch.
Finch digs a good body shot into Cunningham's ribs.
A chopping leg kick lands by Finch.
Finch does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Cunningham scores with a decent looking hook.
Cunningham misses with a two punch combination.
Finch on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Cunningham throws a jab but it's blocked by Finch.

Cunningham is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Finch's half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Cunningham thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Finch's head.
Finch gets full guard.

Finch is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Finch working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Cunningham doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Cunningham manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Cunningham postures up in Finch's guard and throws a big left but Finch blocks it.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Finch is looking for a triangle but Cunningham pushes his legs off easily.
Cunningham lands a couple of digs.
Cunningham postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Cunningham works over Finch with some ground and pound from guard.

Finch has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cunningham can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Cunningham stands over his opponent and dives in with a flying punch! Finch throws up his legs and catches Cunningham in a triangle! Oh this looks tight! Cunningham tries to escape but he's forced to tap! Wow, fantastic work there by Finch! That came out of nowhere!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:46 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle Choke). Bob Finch!
Bob Finch decided to thank the fans in attendance for making a great atmosphere. It seemed to go down pretty well.
