Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Jimmy Brit (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stran Gler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brit comes into the arena with Same in the End blaring out of the sound system. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 7 - 0, fighting out of New York, Stran Gler!
The judges for this bout are Alyssa Summers, Russell Pearce and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gler fails to land the takedown.
Brit fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Gler manages to avoid it.
Brit throws a body punch but Gler moves out of range.
Gler looks for a takedown but Brit sprawls well.
Brit throws a leg kick which misses Gler's front leg but catches the back leg as Gler tries to avoid it.
Brit scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Gler on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Brit looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Brit cracks Gler with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Brit stuffs the takedown.
Jimmy Brit has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Stran Gler.
A nice inside leg kick there by Brit. That's going to slow Gler down.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Gler is defended easily by Brit.
Gler takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Brit smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Brit enables Gler to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Brit manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Brit wants to sweep but no luck.
Brit keeping moving, preventing Gler from controlling successfully.
Brit seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Brit is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Gler is staying active underneath Brit, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Brit is stalling here. Gler is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Brit seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Gler has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.

Gler misses with a head shot. Brit uses the momentum to regain guard.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Brit wants to sweep here but Gler controlling him for the moment.
Brit manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Gler manages to get himself to full guard.

Gler looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Brit passes into side control.
Gler can't do much from the bottom here.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Brit lands a knee to the body and a forearm to the face.

Gler shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Brit pinned against the cage. Brit gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Gler shoots for a double leg takedown but Brit sprawls well. He's pushed Gler's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

Gler has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Brit.

Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Brit.
Brit lands a nice hook to Gler's body. Gler takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Stran Gler is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Gler changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Brit tries to avoid it but Gler manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Brit to the ground. Brit escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Gler is breathing heavily.
Brit buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Brit.
Gler on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
The crowd cheers as Brit lands an impressive looking overhand right. Gler doesn't seem phased though.
Brit connects with a hook to the side of his opponent's head.

Brit thows a body kick. Gler tries to catch it but that hurt him.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Brit.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Brit lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Brit.
Good shot there by Brit.
A slapping leg kick lands for Brit.
Gler has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Brit.
That kick from Brit tenderised Gler's leg. Gler is trying to keep his angry face on.

Brit scores with a nice head shot.
Brit throws a nice outside leg kick.
Gler shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brit defends it nicely.

Brit throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Gler was covering up waiting for the punch and Brit finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Gler isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Brit stacks Gler on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Brit!

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

Gler gets cracked there but stands up to it.

Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Brit. Gler shrugs it off though.
Brit lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Brit works the jab nicely.
Gler's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Brit connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Gler scrambles back to his feet.

Brit lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent.

Gler's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
