The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Murdoch lands with a nice body punch.
Nice takedown defense from Murdoch. No joy for Smith on that attempt.
Murdoch throws a series of strikes that have Smith backpedaling.

It looks like Brandon Smith has been cut.
Smith shoots for a takedown but Murdoch saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Murdoch stuffs the takedown.
Hank Murdoch has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Brandon Smith.
Murdoch fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.
Smith looks gassed!
Smith connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Murdoch lands with a shot to the body.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Murdoch ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Smith walks into a straight right hand from Murdoch.
Smith is still on wobbly legs! Can Murdoch finish him?

Murdoch drives through and clinches with Smith against the cage.

Murdoch's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Smith takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Smith seems to have recovered his senses.
Murdoch lands a right hook to the body.
Murdoch connects with a body shot.
Murdoch wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Murdoch lands with a good body shot.

Murdoch drops Smith with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Smith looks back up at him and smiles so Murdoch waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Murdoch cracks Smith on the jaw with a powerful right hand and Smith falls backwards against the cage. Murdoch follows up with more strikes that drop Smith to his knees. Murdoch keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save Smith! This one is all over!
