Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Conway (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bad Ass (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Conway comes to the cage accompanied by Saigon - Desperado. Well, I have no idea who's going to take this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Bad Ass!
The judges for this bout are Sergei Dronov, Ivan Kurochkin and Valeri Chadov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ass shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.
Conway seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Conway tries to land a sweep but no joy.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Conway is on top in guard.

Ass has his foot on Conway's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Conway works his way back into a safe position though.
Conway pushing down on Ass's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work.
Conway uses his free foot to push down on Ass's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Ass.

Conway working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Conway wants to control the pace but Ass is squirming around nicely.

Conway jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Ass manages to avoid the submission attempt.

Conway blocks the strikes from Ass.
You can see the frustration on Ass's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.
Conway remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Ass tries to improve position but can't.

Conway has an Americana. Ass didn't react quickly enough there and he's in big trouble now! He tries to squirm out but is forced to tap! Conway is delighted and gyrates in front of the ring girls. They seem to like the attention - it'll be interesting to see if Conway hooks up with any of them at the after show party.
