The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rodriguez circles away from the clinch attempt.
Habibi fails with an attempt to clinch.
Habibi tries to close the distance and clinch but Rodriguez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Habibi moves in looking to clinch but Rodriguez pushes him off.
Rodriguez tries a low kick but Habibi avoids it.
Rodriguez keeps the fight on the outside.
Rodriguez fails miserably with a takedown attempt.

and Rodriguez counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Habibi wants to stand up but Rodriguez is controlling him.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Habibi is trying to control the position but Rodriguez postures up.
Habibi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Rodriguez on the ground.

Rodriguez drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Habibi dives on top into guard.

Rodriguez gets tackled into the cage by Habibi. Habibi maintains the clinch.
Rodriguez changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Habibi fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Habibi moves in looking to clinch but Rodriguez pushes him off.
Habibi tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Rodriguez paws at him with a jab and circles away.
Rodriguez shoots in looking for a takedown. Habibi tries to sprawl out of it but Rodriguez keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Habibi manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Allah Habibi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ben Rodriguez.
Habibi moves in looking to clinch but Rodriguez pushes him off.

Rodriguez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Habibi tries to avoid it but Rodriguez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Habibi to the ground. Habibi escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

Rodriguez gets tackled into the cage by Habibi. Habibi maintains the clinch.
Rodriguez jumps guard but Habibi turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Rodriguez is looking for a takedown.
