Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tigr Komnatnyi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ken Kesey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Tigr Komnatnyi!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ken Kesey!
The judges for this bout are Reed Andrews, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Kesey gets a clinch.
Komnatnyi connects with a nasty looking knee right to Kesey's face.
Kesey gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.


It looks like Tigr Komnatnyi has been cut.
Kesey tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Kesey has Komnatnyi pushed against the cage.
Kesey tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Kesey is trying to trip Komnatnyi. He has hold of a leg but Komnatnyi is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Kesey persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.
Komnatnyi is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
Kesey is not content to let Komnatnyi control the position.
Kesey is looking to control Komnatnyi's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Kesey avoid being mounted?
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Kesey is looking to improve his position.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Komnatnyi thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Komnatnyi wants to control but Kesey is keeping him busy.
Kesey is trying to get back to full guard.

Komnatnyi is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kesey defends it well.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Kesey is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Kesey is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Komnatnyi wants to lay and pray for a moment but Kesey keeps working.
Komnatnyi works his way into side control.
Kesey is looking for a sweep.
Komnatnyi will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Komnatnyi with the ground and pound but Kesey regains half guard under the barage of strikes.
Komnatnyi trying to control from half guard but Kesey is working away.
Kesey wants to get back to full guard.

Komnatnyi passes the guard and advances to mount!
Komnatnyi mounts Kesey! Really nice guard pass there!
Kesey avoids a series of strikes thrown by Komnatnyi.

Komnatnyi is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Kesey is surviving well by controlling Komnatnyi's body position as best he can.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Kesey is working to get back to half guard.
Komnatnyi looking to finish with strikes here!
Kesey is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Kesey is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Kesey really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Komnatnyi. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Komnatnyi looking to secure an arm triangle but Kesey defends it well.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Kesey can do anything to dispel that myth.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Komnatnyi working from mount. He moves in close and looks like he might be going for an arm triangle... He's hopped off to the side and he's transitioned into an Anaconda choke. Kesey turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Komnatnyi off and cradles Kesey's limp body as Komnatnyi celebrates with his corner.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:21 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Anaconda Choke). Tigr Komnatnyi!
After the fight, Tigr Komnatnyi was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
