The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Frank Dennis and Stewart Dunkirk.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Holyfield uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Smido has time to react.

Holyfield jabs Smido to the body, keeping him at a distance.

Holyfield drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Holyfield jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Smido wants to sweep but no luck.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Holyfield is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Smido's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Holyfield is looking for a sweep. Smido is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Smido slips a nice elbow through Holyfield's hands, connecting with Holyfield's forehead.
Smido is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.
Smido thows a huge punch but Holyfield dodges it nicely.

That kick from Smido tenderised Holyfield's leg. Holyfield is trying to keep his angry face on.
Holyfield looks to land a left hand but Smido moved out of range nicely.
Smido throws an overhand right that lands on Holyfield's shoulder, as Holyfield tries to avoid the shot.

and Smido counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.

Smido closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Holyfield quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are battling for position here. Holyfield manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Smido wants to pass the guard but Holyfield is keeping the position.
Smido lands a couple of elbows.
Smido keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Holyfield's head.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Holyfield is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Smido is aware though and is defending well.

Smido has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Holyfield to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Smido is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Holyfield pulls down on the head and he's put Smido to sleep! This one is all over!
