Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Papa Foo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Joe Seph (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Seph has chosen Wheres My Brother? as his entrance music. The crowd giving both fighters a great reception on their way into the arena. That's good to see.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Papa Foo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Joe Seph!
The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, Ian Loll and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Seph throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Seph throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Seph keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Seph throws a hook but Foo blocks it.
Seph throws a wild combination but nothing lands.

Foo shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in full mount! That's better than Foo was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Foo really is a fat lump.
Foo wants to control the pace but Seph is squirming around nicely.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Seph tries to hold on but Foo postures up.

Foo moves into side control, trying to work for a kimura. That looks painful! Will he finish!!?? No, Seph has worked his arm free - good work by Seph!
Foo in side control, trying to ground and pound but not landing this time.
Seph stops Foo from passing to mount.
Seph is looking to reverse the position.
Foo cracks Seph with a big right hand but Seph just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Seph is not content to let Foo control the position.

Seph is looking to reverse the position.

Seph prevents Foo from improving position.
Foo scoring with punches and elbows.
Foo throwing strikes but Seph manages to buck up and roll into a nice reversal - now he's on top in side control!
Foo is looking to reverse the position.
Foo is trying to control Seph's posture but Seph avoids it.
Foo is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Foo manages to work his way to half guard, despite Seph's best efforts.

Foo is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Seph pulls his head out easily.
Foo gets full guard.
Foo wants to sweep but no luck.

Foo has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Seph can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Seph tries to stand but Foo is controlling from the bottom.

Foo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Seph is defending against the submission attempts here by Foo.

Foo seems to be working for a kimura but Seph defends the submission attempt.

Foo is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Papa Foo dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Seph doesn't manage to clinch there - Foo circles away.
Seph misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Foo feints and as Seph raises his hands in defense, Foo changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Foo trying to control the position from guard on top but Seph is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Foo looking to sit in guard and control but Seph gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.
Foo looking to hit a scissor sweep but Seph is one step ahead there.
Foo controls Seph momentarily but Seph frees himself.

Foo wants to sweep here but Seph controlling him for the moment.
Foo keeping full guard, as Seph tries to pass.
Seph is breathing heavily.

Seph avoids a guillotine attempt easily.

Foo is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Seph postures up.
Foo wants to sweep but no luck.
Seph really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Foo. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Foo is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Seph gets to his feet - Foo follows without any prompting.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Foo uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Seph.
Seph fails to land with a series of punches.
A choreographed right hand from Seph misses the target.

Seph gets caught flat footed, as Foo shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
Foo works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Foo is looking to take a break and control but Seph is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Foo missing with the ground and pound from half guard.

Foo is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Seph is just riding it out for now. Foo eventually gives up the hold.

Foo wants to work for an arm triangle but Seph is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.

Foo seems to be looking for submissions.

That's time! Foo's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!



Foo shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Foo is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Seph is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
