Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Yuya Inoue (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Piero Vischi (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chooooooooon! I think Inoue might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Viikate - Viina, terva & hauta. Yuya Inoue could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Piero Vischi's chin.

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Yuya Inoue!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Piero Vischi!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, James Atkins and Phil Schofield.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vischi uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Inoue.
Vischi throws a nice outside leg kick.
Vischi misses with a looping right.
Inoue misses with a straight left.
Inoue misses with a hook. Vischi ducked under it nicely.
Vischi throws a lazy right hand but Inoue sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Vischi throws a front kick aimed at Inoue's knee but Inoue avoids it well.
Inoue throws a hook to the side of Vischi's head but Vischi sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Inoue tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vischi just stands there and leans against the cage.
Vischi tries a knee to the head but Inoue blocks it.
Inoue tries to score a body lock takedown but Vischi shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Vischi manages to break the clinch.
Inoue moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

Vischi doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Inoue shoots in for a takedown but Vischi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Inoue shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Vischi sprawls well. Vischi wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Inoue gets slowly back to his feet.

Vischi doesn't manage to clinch there - Inoue circles away.

Inoue lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Inoue throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Vischi was covering up waiting for the punch and Inoue finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Inoue tries to free his leg and advance position but Vischi is retaining full guard.
Vischi can't keep his opponent in guard - Inoue advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Inoueis looking to pass into half guard but Vischi pushes him away with his feet and jumps on top - now Vischi is in guard.
Vischi really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Inoue. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

That was a close second round but I would say that Yuya Inoue will probably get the nod.

That's time! Inoue's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Vischi throws a jab but it's blocked by Inoue.
Inoue tries to score with a low kick but Vischi moves his leg out of the way.
Inoue walks into a left hand.

Vischi closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
Inoue tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Vischi just stands there and leans against the cage.
Inoue is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Vischi pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Inoue jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Vischi walks away with a smile on his face. Inoue gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.

Inoue throws a push kick but Vischi slaps the foot to one side.
A looping hook to the body misses from Inoue. Vischi does a little dance to reset his feet.

Vischi rushes Inoue and presses him up against the cage.
Inoue drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Vischi gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Vischi pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Inoue connects with a leg kick. Vischi looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Inoue swats away the attempt to clinch by Vischi.
Inoue lands a beauty of a right hand that gets the crowd cheering.
Vischi moves into range and connects with a jab.
A swing and a miss from Vischi.

Vischi bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut.

Inoue has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Inoue there as he acknowledges the shot.

Vischi throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Inoue sees it coming and avoids it easily.

Inoue shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Oh and he's advanced to full mount straight away.

Inoue is working on an americana here. Ooh, that looks pretty nasty! Nope, Vischi has managed to escape the submission attempt.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Vischi can do anything to dispel that myth.

Vischi is trying desperately to improve position.
Vischi tries to lock up and control but Inoue gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Vischi throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Inoue is looking to chop away at Vischi's legs.
Inoue throws a leg kick but Vischi sees it coming and moves out of range.
Vischi on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Inoue is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Vischi is aware though and is defending well.
Inoue will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Vischi is trying to break the clinch but Inoue is controlling him.
Vischi has a couple of punches blocked by Inoue.

Vischi breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Vischi's leg has a nasty welt from taking a succession of leg kicks. That must be slowing him down.
Vischi scores with a shoulder strike.
Vischi lands with a short shot to the head.
Vischi lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Inoue backwards.
Inoue misses with the head strike.

Inoue pulls Vischi into guard.
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - an gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.

Inoue had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Vischi defends it easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Vischi got a little sloppy there for a moment and Inoue has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Vischi has managed to get both his arms back between Inoue's legs - danger averted.

Inoue throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Vischi escapes and throws Inoue's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Inoue tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Vischi wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

After the fight, Yuya Inoue was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
