Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Paul ed (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and David Diaz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Paul ed!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, David Diaz!
The judges for this bout are Paul Aken, Daniel Blasius and Aafke Stam.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Diaz looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? ed is fending him off so far but Diaz persists. Nope, ed circles away and we're back to standing.

Diaz fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with ed, pushing him back against the cage.
Diaz lands a right hand that snaps the head of ed backwards.
Diaz is looking to break free of the clinch but ed has double underhooks.

ed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
ed closes this distance looking for a takedown but Diaz circles away.
ed fails in his attempt to clinch.

Diaz clinches with his opponent.
ed is working for takedown but Diaz is calmly controlling the position for now.
Diaz is trying to break the clinch but ed has him pressed against the cage.
Diaz tries for a takedown but ed manages to get underhooks.

ed breaks from the clinch.
ed tries a head kick but it misses.
Diaz fails with a takedown attempt.
Paul ed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Diaz.
ed shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Diaz pinned against the cage. Diaz gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

ed changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Diaz tries to avoid it but ed manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Diaz to the ground. Diaz escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

ed throws a sloppy head kick and Diaz moves out of range easily.

Diaz moves into range and clinches up with ed.
Diaz is trying to break free.

ed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
ed tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

ed shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed ed's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
ed is breathing heavily.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
ed is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
ed misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Diaz can't break the clinch.
ed lands a damaging elbow.
Diaz pushes off an throws an elbow but ed leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
ed tries to break the clinch but Diaz is controlling the position.

Diaz pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
ed misses with a wild combination.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Diaz throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.

Diaz scores with a one two! ed had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.

Diaz darts in and clinches ed up against the cage.
A frustrated look appears on ed's face as he tries to break the clinch.

ed escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Diaz misses with the combination.

Diaz moves into the clinch successfully.
ed has Diaz pressed against the cage, preventing Diaz from circling away and getting back to striking at range.
Diaz looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as ed accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
ed tries to stand but Diaz is controlling from the bottom.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

David Diaz dominated that round.
That's time! ed's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


A telegraphed takedown attempt from Diaz is defended easily by ed.
ed throws a right and a left that both miss.
Diaz swats away the attempt to clinch by ed.
Diaz shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and ed counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Diaz misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Paul ed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of David Diaz.
ed throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Diaz's head.
Diaz is breathing heavily.

ed shoots in looking for a takedown but Diaz manages to keep the fight standing, pushing ed's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

ed looking to score a takedown here. Diaz is defending well but ed drives through and ends up in Diaz's guard.
ed throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Diaz works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Diaz escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. ed gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
ed trying to control the position from guard on top but Diaz is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

ed decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
ed is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Diaz.
Diaz takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
ed shoots for a double leg takedown but Diaz sprawls well. He's pushed ed's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.
ed blocks the body kick.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Diaz tries to clinch up but ed circles away and keeps his distance.

Diaz has taken the fight to the clinch.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Diaz.
ed has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Diaz is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.
Diaz tries to break free but ed pushes him back against the cage.
ed prevents Diaz from breaking the clinch.
Diaz gets underhooks to prevent ed's takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Paul ed. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Diaz has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics ed uses from the top position.

ed stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Diaz swivels though and keeps the full guard.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
Diaz looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

David Diaz is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Paul ed showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Diaz has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
