The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Singh shoots in and drives through. Andres sprawls well.
Some wild striking there from Andres.
Singh shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Andres counters with a nice kick to the body.
Andres looks for the body kick but Singh saw that one coming.
Andres throws an overhand right that lands on Singh's shoulder, as Singh tries to avoid the shot.
Singh shoots in looking for a takedown but Andres manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Singh's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Emilio Andres has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Sid Singh.
An inside leg kick lands from Andres.
Singh will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Andres swings and misses with a shot to the body

and Singh counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Andres on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Andres tries to get out of the position.

Singh seems to be working for a kimura but Andres defends the submission attempt.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Singh is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Andres is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
