Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Elix Skipper (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Jaw (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Elix Skipper!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 13 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Jaw!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Frank Antenori and .




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skipper just misses with a punch to the body.
Jaw takes a swing at Skipper's ribcage but misses.
Skipper takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.


It looks like Elix Skipper has been cut.
Jaw throws a hook but Skipper blocks it.
Skipper swings and misses with a shot to the body
and Skipper takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Skipper shoots in looking for a takedown. Jaw tries to sprawl out of it but Skipper keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jaw manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Skipper forces Jaw back against the cage and clinches.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Jaw misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Skipper.

Skipper gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.

Jaw tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Skipper avoids it.
Skipper tries a body shot but Jaw blocks it.
Skipper stalling.
Skipper lands a nice uppercut.
Jaw slows down the pace here.
Jaw trying to control the position but instead, Skipper has worked for underhooks and has pushed Jaw into the cage.
Skipper jumps guard but Jaw stands there with Skipper around his waist. Skipper gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
The referee calls for Skipper to work.

Jaw blocks an uppercut.
Jaw taking a breather.
Skipper swings wildly with an uppercut but Jaw uses good head movement to avoid it.
Skipper managing to block the knees to the body from Jaw.
Jaw is clearly stalling here... Pick up the pace son.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Skipper takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.
Jaw is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Skipper is defending well for now.

Skipper avoids a wild elbow strike from Jaw.
A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.
Jaw misses with a knee strike.

Skipper jumps into guard, dragging Jaw to the mat.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Skipper has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Jaw can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Jaw wants to stand but Skipper has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Skipper looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Jaw passes into side control.
Jaw tries to move to full mount but Skipper actually manages to regain half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jack Jaw will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Elix Skipper's cut.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Skipper ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Jaw moves away.
Skipper shoots in for a takedown but Jaw shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Jaw looks to land a left hand but Skipper moved out of range nicely.
Jaw avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Skipper throws a lazy right hand but Jaw sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jaw swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Skipper moves out of range of the strikes.
Jaw throws a push kick but Skipper slaps the foot to one side.

Jaw swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Jaw tries to keep at a distance but Skipper has taken the fight into the clinch.
Skipper tries to pull guard but Jaw won't allow it.
Skipper misses with a punch on the inside.
Jaw missing with knees to the body.
Skipper is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Jaw gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Elix Skipper. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Skipper tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Jaw's elbow.
Jaw is looking to control Skipper's arms but Skipper gets an underhook and turns him. Now Jaw has his back to the cage.
Skipper blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Skipper makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

Skipper is trying to maintain a safe position but Jaw gets an underhook and turns Skipper into the cage.

Jaw really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Skipper. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Skipper is trying to control the action in half guard but Jaw is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Jaw is staying active underneath Skipper, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Skipper lands a nice short elbow.
Jaw is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Skipper scores with a couple of nice shots.

Skipper fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jaw sprawls well initially but Skipper persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Jaw is looking to get back to full guard here but Skipper has managed to pass to side control instead.

The referee calls for the fighters to work.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Skipper thows a huge punch but Jaw dodges it nicely.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Danga de danga de dang - Jaw scores with a four punch combination!
Nice shot by Skipper.
Skipper misses with a jab to the body
and Jaw counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Skipper takes a swing at Jaw's ribcage but misses.
Jaw misses with a hook. Skipper ducked under it nicely.
Skipper moves out of range of the leg kick from Jaw.
Skipper fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Skipper wants to clinch.
Skipper is looking to wear down Jaw with body shots, infact he's throwing more body shots than head shots at the moment.

Jaw takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Skipper lands a glancing blow to the side of Jaw's head.
Jaw pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Jaw pivots, looking for a leg kick but Skipper is out of range and Jaw settles back down.
Skipper throws a sloppy body shot
enabling Jaw to counter with a crisp jab.

Skipper shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Jaw doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.

Skipper changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Jaw scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Skipper throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Jaw misses with a double jab.
Skipper shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Jaw pinned against the cage. Jaw gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Skipper fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jaw to the ground. Skipper is now in Jaw's guard.

Jaw is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Skipper defends well.
Jaw manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Skipper manages to get himself to full guard.

Jaw wants to get up but he can't break Skipper's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Skipper manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jaw manages to get himself to full guard.
Skipper is pushing down on Jaw's leg trying to pass to half guard. Jaw is fighting to maintain full guard but Skipper has managed to sneak the leg through.
Skipper perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there.
Jaw tries to kick Skipper off but Skipper keeps his base steady and stays in half guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Skipper lands with an elbow from half guard - that looked like it hurt.
Jaw is trying to control but Skipper manages to pass to mount!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jaw looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!

And that's the end of the fight!
Jack Jaw comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Jaw has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
