Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Rocky Gatto (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sterling Archer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rocky Gatto!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Sterling Archer!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, Cecil Peabody and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gatto throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Gatto misses with a few strikes there.
A combination from Gatto does no damage.
Archer misses the shot to the body.
No joy there for Gatto, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Archer closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Archer lands in his opponent's guard.

Archer is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Archer passes Gatto's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Gatto blocking the ground and pound attempt from Archer.
Archer is controlling the pace.
Let's hope that Archer has the urge to step up the pace any second now because for the last 15 or 20 seconds he's just been holding on tight.

Sterling Archer has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

Archer sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Gatto's guard.

Archer decides to stand and escape the position.

Gatto swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Gatto looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Gatto could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Gatto fails to land with a series of punches.
Gatto is breathing heavily.
Gatto misses with a looping right.
Gatto throws a shot from downtown. Archer moves away and avoids it.

Archer shoots in and gets a takedown into Gatto's guard.
Archer is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Sterling Archer hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Gatto throws a right hand that Archer ducks under and follows up with a left that Archer also avoids with ease.
Rocky Gatto seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Gatto gets caught flat footed, as Archer shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.
The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace.

Archer displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Gatto throws out the jab.
Gatto throws a nice looking combination but Archer bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
The fight stays on the outside here - Archer looks like he's thinking about clinching though.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Archer stalling.

Gatto is trying to break the clinch but Archer has him pressed against the cage.

Gatto's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Archer drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Archer controls the pace of the fight for a moment.

The ref stands the fighters back up, due to lack of action by Sterling Archer.
Gatto throws a series of strikes that have Archer backpedaling.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gatto circles away from the clinch attempt.

Gatto swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.

Archer scores with a takedown into Gatto's guard.

Archer gets to his feet - Gatto follows without any prompting.

Archer drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Archer seems to have locked his on tight now - Gatto screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Archer, as he picks up the win!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:34 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kneebar). Sterling Archer!
Sterling Archer spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
