PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fabrizio Torromino (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jiro Chiba (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chiba is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Enter Sandman. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Torromino closes the distance and clinches.
The fighters are pressed against the cage, as the pace of the fight slows.
Torromino is pressed up against the cage. Chiba has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Torromino down to the mat. Torromino avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.
Chiba avoids a punch combination nicely.

Torromino takes the fight into the clinch.

Torromino breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Torromino connects with a series of strikes and the referee is calling for Chiba to escape the position.
Chiba is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
Torromino cracks Chiba with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Chiba from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Torromino is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Torromino gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Torromino gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Torromino apologises and we restart here on the feet.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!

Torromino makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.
Torromino gets through Chiba's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head.

Torromino's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Torromino is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Chiba flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Chiba is out cold! Torromino holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
