Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Randall Stevens (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rodrigo Morales (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Randall Stevens has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Morales shoots in and bounces Stevens off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Stevens looking for a sweep. Not yet Stevens, not yet.
Stevens looking to control.

Morales postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Stevens is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Morales, into his guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Morales is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Morales working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Stevens doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Stevens manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Morales escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Stevens gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Stevens got a little sloppy there for a moment and Morales has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Stevens has managed to get both his arms back between Morales's legs - danger averted.

Morales is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Stevens defends well.

Morales has instead reached around Stevens's neck and now has a guillotine! Oh, this is biiiig trouble! Morales arches his back and squeezes and forces the tap from his hapless opponent.
