The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A big right from Bass misses.
Bass looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
A combination from Bass does no damage.
Masura keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Bass.
Horrible takedown by Masura or perhaps it was just good defense by Bass which made him look bad.
Masura avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Bass pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Bass misses with a few strikes there.
Masura ducks under a wild hook from Bass.
Bass throws a lazy uppercut

and Masura counters with a shoot takedown into half guard.
Masura trying to pass the guard but Bass defending well.
Bass wants to stand back up but Masura manages to pass into side control.

Masura is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Bass knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Masura advances to full mount.

Masura is working to isolate an arm here. It's a telegraphed submission attempt but he's gone for it anyway - and he's got it! Masura extends the arm and Bass is forced to tap!
