Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Fergus McRedd (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sgt Parrotface (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). McRedd comes to the cage accompanied by Enter Shikari - Sorry You're Not a Winner. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 5 - 0, fighting out of London, Fergus McRedd!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 12 - 0, fighting out of London, Sgt Parrotface!
The judges for this bout are Colin Fotheringham, Chris Edwards and Donald Grub.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Parrotface throws a leg kick
and McRedd counters with a big head kick but Parrotface shrugs it off.
McRedd shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Parrotface as he avoids it easily.
Parrotface is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Parrotface tries to close the distance and clinch up but McRedd swats him away and circles back towards the center.
McRedd misses with an uppercut.
McRedd checks the leg kick nicely there.

McRedd forces Parrotface back against the cage and clinches.

McRedd decides to pull guard.
Parrotface trying to control but McRedd is working from the bottom.
Parrotface throwing strikes from guard but McRedd blocks nicely.
Parrotface must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
McRedd keeping full guard, as Parrotface tries to pass.

Parrotface drops back, looking for a kneebar! McRedd looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. McRedd looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from McRedd!
McRedd cracks Parrotface with a big right hand but Parrotface just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Parrotface avoids any damage from the ground and pound of McRedd.

McRedd tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no McRedd has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
McRedd in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.

McRedd goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Parrotface has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for McRedd but great work by Parrotface.
McRedd is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Parrotface not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Parrotface is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and McRedd defends it well.

McRedd has one foot on Parrotface's thigh - he pushes off and manages to get back to his feet.

McRedd tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Parrotface swivels and escapes.
McRedd has his takedown stuffed
and Parrotface counters with a left to the body.

Parrotface lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!


It looks like Fergus McRedd has been cut.

Parrotface tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but McRedd swivels and escapes.
Parrotface takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

McRedd trying to control here but he's found himself mounted! Oh no!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
McRedd is working to get back to half guard.
McRedd wants to hold on but Parrotface pushes him away.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Parrotface lands with some vicious ground and pound - can McRedd hang on?

That's time! McRedd's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


McRedd shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Parrotface as he jumps to the side.
Parrotface throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Parrotface tries to clinch there but McRedd circles away.
McRedd moves away from the strike by Parrotface.
McRedd throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Parrotface sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Parrotface misses the jab.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Parrotface.
Parrotface fails in his attempt to clinch.
McRedd avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
McRedd swats away the attempt to clinch by Parrotface.
McRedd tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
McRedd pulls out of a head kick attempt.
McRedd throws a sloppy head kick and Parrotface moves out of range easily.
Parrotface scores with a sloppy right hand. McRedd should have avoided that one.

Parrotface closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Parrotface lands in his opponent's guard.
Parrotface stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McRedd swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Parrotface stands and throws McRedd's legs to the side, diving into side control.
McRedd tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Parrotface wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control.

Sgt Parrotface showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.


Parrotface scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. McRedd doesn't seem bothered though.
Parrotface looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? McRedd is fending him off so far but Parrotface persists. Nope, McRedd circles away and we're back to standing.
A decent looking cross lands there for McRedd.
Parrotface tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Parrotface ducks under a wild hook from McRedd.

McRedd has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Parrotface is trying to keep an underhook but McRedd manages to get the takedown into half guard.

Parrotface escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. McRedd gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
McRedd cracks Parrotface with a solid left hand.
McRedd lands a couple of elbows.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as McRedd accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Fergus McRedd overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McRedd lands a couple of decent looking shots.

McRedd is working Parrotface over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.

Well McRedd has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
