Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Kenny Horn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
2 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Assassin Player!
The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Paul Gruel and Roger Salmon.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Player closes the distance but Horn moves to the side
and Horn counters with a crisp one two that drops Player! Horn thinks about following him to the mat for a moment but instead steps back and waves Player to his feet! Player is in big trouble!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Horn keeps the fight on the outside.
A head kick misses from Player.
Player tries to clinch but Horn moves out of range.
Player closes the distance and lands a one-two.
It looks like Kenny Horn has been cut.
Assassin Player seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Horn clobbers Player with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Player get stunned by a cross and takes another one on the button. Player stumbles backwards and tries to bounce back off the cage but Horn runs in and jumps on him with a leaping lead hook that puts him out! Wow, that was highlight reel stuff! Awesome finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:28 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Kenny Horn!
