Silver has chosen Snow (Hey Oh) as his entrance music. James Gustafvon could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Jean Silver's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, James Gustafvon!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 3 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Jean Silver!
The judges for this bout are Gregory Folan, Yves DeLean and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gustafvon ducks right into an uppercut from Silver.
Gustafvon shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Silver as he avoids it easily.
Gustafvon has his takedown stuffed
and Silver cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Silver scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one.


It looks like James Gustafvon has been cut.
Silver ducks low and lands a nice hook to the body of his opponent.
Gustafvon misses with a takedown
and Gustafvon takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for James Gustafvon. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Gustafvon clinches up with Silver and pushes him back against the cage.
Silver wants to break the clinch but can't.
Gustafvon could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Silver prevents Gustafvon from breaking the clinch.
Gustafvon tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Gustafvon comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Gustafvon stalling in the clinch.
A head punch on the inside from Gustafvon fails to land.
Gustafvon is trying to push Silver away but Silver has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere.
Gustafvon is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Silver is trying to break free.
Silver is looking for a takedown up against the cage. Gustafvon gets underhooks though and prevents the takedown attempt.

Silver breaks the clinch.
Gustafvon doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Silver counters with a stiff right hand.
Silver is using his reach advantage to land shots from outside his opponent's range.

Silver gets tackled into the cage by Gustafvon. Gustafvon maintains the clinch.
Silver is pressed up against the cage. Gustafvon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Silver down to the mat. Silver avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Gustafvon fails in his attempt to clinch.

Gustafvon closes the distance and pushes Silver back into the cage.
Gustafvon prevents a takedown attempt there.
Gustafvon goes for a takedown attempt but Silver pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Silver lands a lovely overhand right.
Gustafvon tries for a takedown but Silver circles away easily

and Silver decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Gustafvon's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Gustafvon has momentary wrist control but Silver slips an elbow through the middle.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Silver slips nicely into half guard.
Silver is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gustafvon!
Silver landing strikes from the mount and Gustafvon is in trouble!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Silver controlling the pace for now.
Silver trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Silver fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!
Silver prevents Gustafvon from getting the reversal.
Gustafvon tries to hold on but Silver postures up.
Gustafvon tries to get back to half guard but can't.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Gustafvon is really trying hard to get back to his feet.
Gustafvon knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Silver on the ground.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Silver looking to control but Gustafvon is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Silver lands a big shot there that rocks Gustafvon but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Silver with a couple of short strikes.
Gustafvon might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Silver pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage.


Gustafvon is rocked!


James Gustafvon's cut is getting worse.
Silver cracks Gustafvon with a big head shot that has him covering up instantly! He's rolled onto his side and the referee has seen enough - this one is aaaaaaaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:45 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jean Silver!
An intense looking Jean Silver took to the microphone post fight and gave a little speech: 'Now you guys know what an ass kicking looks like!!!'.
