Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Klaus Hander!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Miroslav Filipovic!
The judges for this bout are Vladimir Khabensky, Viktor Lagutenko and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Filipovic looks to land a combination but Hander avoids it well.
Hander ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Filipovic moves away.
Filipovic lands with a nice body punch.
Hander misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Filipovic.
Filipovic throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Hander on the side of the head.
Hander shoots in but Filipovic avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hander slips a jab and a cross from Filipovic.
Hander fails to land the takedown.
Filipovic throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Hander takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Hander is breathing heavily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Filipovic uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Hander has time to react.
Hander seems to be squinting his left eye. Perhaps he got a poke in that previous exchange. Filipovic shows no mercy and swarms him with a barage of strikes! Hander is backing up but Filipovic catches him with a final right hook that drops him! Hander covers up and the referee steps in to end the fight! Filipovic Jumps to his feet and flashes his guns to the crowd. Oh yeah, baby! How'd you like them apples?!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:36 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Miroslav Filipovic!
