PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Peter Edu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sven Hjernson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hjernson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Poirot theme kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hjernson throws a combination that misses

and Edu decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hjernson's guard.
Edu stops Hjernson from standing up.

Hjernson has his feet on Edu's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.

Edu has picked Hjernson up - he's going for a ride! Edu dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Edu is just content to waste time from the top position. Hjernson takes advantage of the situation and regains full guard.

Hjernson wants to stand and escape. He's got his foot on Edu's hips, looking to push off. But Edu grabs a hold of the leg and drops back for an ankle lock! It's hard to tell if he's got it. Both fighters look composed - OH, not anymore they don't! Hjernson screams like a kid who's trapped his fingers in the car door and taps out! Yikes, that must have hurt - hopefully it's not snapped anything!
